About Greenhills School
On behalf of my colleagues and the students of Greenhills School, I'm happy to welcome you to our website. 
While it only serves as a window into the wondrous teaching and learning that occurs beyond your screen, I'm confident that this glimpse will give you the impression of "a community that values learning as a life-long process and teaching as an art." Our commitment to this mission is as evident now as it was three decades ago, when the founders of Greenhills created a unique school in the Ann Arbor area "to assist young people to grow into alert, useful and responsible citizens whose lives will be full of meaning and inner satisfaction."
In an educational and social climate where success is too often measured in scores and wealth, it's clear that the founders had other measuring tools in mind. Our alumni are extraordinary in their accomplishments, but they are also extraordinary people making a positive difference in the world. The stories they tell of their Greenhills experiences resonate in the school's much-expanded classrooms and hallways, and are clearly evident in the increased breadth of programs on the playing fields and in the community. While the school's footprint is significantly larger now than it was thirty years ago, the imprint upon young people's lives has remained the same.
