Weather Data Collection at Greenhills
Physics teacher Dr. Jim Lupton introduced the idea of a weather station to collect wind data in connection with the Class of 2007 Senior Gift of a wind turbine. 
A senior student took on the project. He determined a location for the station, assembled and installed the device on the school's rooftop, installed and configured the software for data collection, and wrote a maintenance manual.
Today, the weather station sits atop Greenhills gathering local weather data for the school and the surrounding community. Current conditions and historical data are recorded and reported through Weather Underground.
