School Life

To encourage the spirit of belonging and connectedness in middle school, students convene regularly for grade level meetings and middle school assemblies. These informal gatherings, often led by students, invite individuals to make announcements, share sports scores, perform and present topics of interest and relevance. This time is also used to address the middle school on broader community-wide issues of stewardship, responsibility and respect.  In the best sense, these moments foster a culture of community and remind students that they are connected to something larger than themselves.

Our middle schoolers also have many opportunities to branch out and learn something new.  Activities may include:

  • Middle School Play
  • Math Counts
  • Forensics
  • Student Council
  • Environmental Club
  • Gryphon Spirit Club
  • The Alcove
  • Chess Club
  • Diversity Club
  • Athletics
