Partnerships
As a not-for-profit, regionally-based organization, Greenhills School is proud to partner with several exemplary organizations throughout the course of the year. Greenhills' Community Partnership Program provides opportunities to expand the teaching and learning that takes place within the school's classrooms and corridors, on our stage, in our gyms or out on our playing fields. These partnerships provide other non-profit community members access to the many resources Greenhills has to offer, expanding the reach of the school's teaching and learning out into the community.

Teachers of Color Job Fair
Greenhills has hosted the Teachers of Color Job Fair since 2002. Teachers of Color Job Fair The fair is one part of the efforts of the Southeast Michigan Diversity Committee of the Association of Independent Michigan Schools (AIMS) to increase diversity in the faculty and administration of independent schools in the Southeast Michigan region. About ten schools and fifty candidates generally attend the fair.
The Academy for Sport Leadership
The Academy for Sport Leadership (TASL) is a committed champion in the education and recruitment of young women to the coaching profession. The Academy for Sport Leadership Their programs provide a comprehensive career pathway, setting the standards for the next generation of coaches.
Greenhills School and The Academy awarded Jessica Ann Merchant their first joint Athletic Internship for the 2006 spring season. This partnership was supported by the Academy for Sport Leadership Endowment Fund housed at the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation and Greenhills School's John Lawrence and Jeanine DeLay Athletic Internship Fund.
Since 2001, Greenhills School has hosted TASL's Future Coaches Camp. This 5-day program focuses on coaching education and leadership training. Several Greenhills alumni and current students are part of the more than 30 students who have completed the program and moved on to coaching or assistant coaching positions at Greenhills and in the surrounding community.
826michigan
826michigan is a chapter of the national nonprofit 826 organization, founded by San Francisco-based author and editor, Dave Eggers. Haisley Elementary School Students 826 is a writing program focused on mentoring kids—ages 6 to 18—with their creative and expository writing skills and helping teachers inspire their students to write.
Greenhills School is proud to have worked in partnership with the Ann Arbor-based chapter of 826 on many exciting writing projects. Brought together under the guidance and leadership of 826michigan, Greenhills' creative non-fiction writing class and Haisley Elementary School created and published one of 826michigan's first-ever writing anthologies.
New Beginnings Academy
Greenhills School and New Beginnings Academy (NBA) New Beginnings Academy -- an Ypsilanti public charter school for students in grades PK-5, chartered by Central Michigan University -- have joined together to create a partnership between the students at Greenhills and kindergarten and first grade students at NBA.
As part of their year-long service learning project, twice a month, Greenhills eighth grade advisories visit New Beginnings Academy and, based on individual plans provided by NBA teachers, work one-on-one with the young students. This type of interaction fosters a healthy exchange of learning for both students involved. More importantly, students learn to care and work with others who are a different age.
The Phoenix Ensemble
The Phoenix Ensemble is an Ann Arbor-based nonprofit musical organization founded in 1998 as a resource for artists and the educational community. PhoenixPhest! Amateur MusiciansThe group's flagship event each year is the PhoenixPhest! amateur chamber-music festival.
Beginning in 2007, Greenhills partnered with The Phoenix Ensemble to present PhoenixPhest! This annual event brings together amateur and professional musicians for three days of intensive workshops and master classes. It provides a unique opportunity for amateur musicians of all ages to play with and be coached by experienced professional musicians from around the country in ensembles culminating in a final public performance.
