109 Run for the Roses
If you love tradition, horses, parties and fun, the 2010 Kentucky
Derby is for you! Your amazing weekend for two starts with coach airfare
to Louisville, Kentucky, where you will check into the Embassy Suites
for up to three nights (incidentals not included) and begin the festivities
on Thursday, April 30, at the Kentucky Museum of Art & Craft's
24th annual Oaks Brunch at the historic Camberly Brown Hotel in downtown
Louisville. Set off to Churchill Downs for a day of races and the
136th running of the Kentucky Oaks, the world's richest distaff race.
A partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Horses for Hope
makes this a special race day as the fillies run for the lilies. After
the races, get dressed up and revved up for a fun night of dining,
celebrity sighting and dancing at the Julep Ball held at The Galt
House Hotel. Saturday, May 1, the 136th Kentucky Derby begins with
a brunch full of southern hospitality and urban fare at 610 Magnolia
in the heart of historic Old Louisville. You'll head to the track
for a day of races and "the most exciting two minutes in sports."
You'll be seated in the Trophy Room of the Finsh Line Suites both
days with the Chef's Table of Kentucky-inspired foods and a full bar
provided for you. Access to the large balcony overlooking the track,
paddock, sportscasters and celebrities awaits you. A private tour
of the paddock area during the races is also included and, if security
allows, this includes watching a race on the finish line rail. Secured
parking for both days is provided across the street from Churchill
Downs. All you need is to rent a car on your own. Bring your binoculars,
camera and betting money for the time of your life. Expires May 2010.
- Live & Silent Auction, Raffle, and
semi-formal dinner served by Greenhills Sophomore
