The Greenhills Parent Organization (GPO)
The Greenhills Parent Organization recruits parents to assist teachers and students with class activities and events. Parents get to know their students' teachers and each other through their volunteer efforts assisting grade-specific activities, such as Prom.
The GPO operates through parent representatives from each grade. Parent Reps help out with school-wide activities, including Convocation and Head's Holiday. During the 2006-07 school year, 80 parents served in this capacity.
The GPO's mission is to:
- facilitate communication between parents and faculty;
- bring students together through planned activities; and
- bring parents together through events such as Brown Bags, and parent receptions for school-related activities.

Standing events scheduled throughout the course of the year include:
- the New Parent Barbecue, sponsored by 6th grade parents;
- the 8th Grade Recognition ceremony and reception, sponsored by 7th grade parents;
- the Spring Faculty Appreciation Luncheon, sponsored by 8th grade parents; and
- The Junior-Senior Prom, sponsored by the 11th grade parents.
