IN 2008, GREENHILLS ESTABLISHED THE LEARNING CENTER TO ASSIST STUDENTS
in their quest to become strong, independent learners.

Together with students, teachers and parents, the Learning Center helps to create a plan of effective support so students can acquire the learning skills necessary to reach their academic potential.

THE LEARNING CENTER PROVIDES FOR STUDENTS:

Writing and implementing Greenhills Learning Plans
Use strategic search techniques to find information in print , digital, and media sources
Study skills, time management, and organization instruction and support
One-to-one and small group learning support
Scaffolding in the classroom, including pre-teaching, differentiated instruction and assessment, and task-specific support
A quiet workspace for all students

Resources

The Learning Center staff helps teachers understand a student's learning needs and suggests profile-related intervention strategies

Observation

Through classroom observations, the Learning Center staff makes academic support recommendations for specific students

Collaboration

The Learning Center staff is available to help teachers write inclusive curriculum, design differentiated lessons and assessments, and provide in-class and/ or supplemental support on content and general academic skills
