In the Bag: Middle School's No-Waste Lunch a Big Success

“Let’s put the green back into Greenhills” is often used as a metaphor for the school’s commitment to maintaining a strong mission when it comes to environmental stewardship. In 2008, under the leadership of science teacher Martha Friedlander and parent Jeffrey Post, Greenhills formally launched GIG (Green Initiatives at Greenhills). Since its inception, there have been several positive changes aimed at reducing the school’s carbon footprint.

6th Grade Biome Project: Creative 21st Century Learning

"Bagel Thursdays" Still Helping Cancer Kids

Now in its third year, "Bagel Thursdays" is continuing its mission of helping kids in cancer-related situations. On Friday, Gabi Kaplan '12, Maddy Kelley '10, Eddie Kelley '12, and Niki Sabetfakhri '12 delivered a $500 check (sales profits from September-December), to The Wellness Community.

Greenhills' Coed Swim Team in the News

Ann Arbor — In its recent Winter Sports Preview section, Ann Arbor.com featured the Greenhills swim team — specifically, how unique it is to have girls and boys swimming together on one team. Says the article:

Rather than having two small teams, neither of which could likely fill every race, Greenhills competes as a coed team during the winter.

Alumni Holiday Party Set for Dec. 26

Ann Arbor — 'Tis the season...for alums of all ages to reunite and reminisce with former classmates and faculty at the annual Greenhills Alumni Holiday Party, Saturday, Dec. 26 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Mediterrano Restaurant, 2900 S. State St.
