Middle School

Greenhills Middle School is comprised of about 200 students in grades 6–8. Greenhills School Photo Sixth graders from about 25 different elementary schools across our region come together each year. True to Greenhills spirit, 6th graders quickly create a community of friends by the end of the first week. Greenhills opens a full section to new 7th graders and the total class size levels out at about 75 students for both 7th and 8th grades. The average class size in Middle School is approximately 15 students. The Middle School curriculum is based on a liberal arts model that encompasses English, math, social studies, civics, foreign language, science, visual and performing arts, technology, wellness and health as well as an array of interscholastic athletics beginning in the 6th grade. Students, parents and faculty work closely together to ensure each child is known and academically challenged in a principled community.

Upper School

When students enter the Upper School at Greenhills, they encounter a solid, yet flexible, four-year college preparatory program designed to maximize their personal and intellectual growth. Greenhills School Photo We encourage each student to be independent, confident, and thoughtful, and place emphasis on responsibility, accountability and awareness of those moral, ethical, and social obligations that come with being a member of the larger community. We guide students through a dramatic evolution in thought processes and abilities as we prepare them for the most rigorous training offered by the finest colleges and universities, along with the challenges of the 21st century workplace. Greenhills offers students a traditional college preparatory curriculum, balancing study in the various subject areas with interdisciplinary opportunities. Our aim is to produce principled, responsible learners who can succeed at the next level and beyond.
