Message from the Head of Middle School

Welcome to Greenhills Middle School. It is fitting that I extend a welcome to you, even on-line, because that is true to the Greenhills ethic of care for the individual while attending the betterment of the group as a whole. Greenhills School Photo People who visit Greenhills consistently mention the positive and open feeling they get from both the surroundings and the people they encounter.

In our community of learners, students develop excellent study habits in group and individual settings and are encouraged to question and engage in discussions and conversations that push the envelope of personal understanding. Parents work in concert with teachers and administration to ensure an outstanding education.

Students use the entire building and its grounds as their classrooms. Touring the campus, visitors may see sixth graders launching water rockets outside, 7th graders performing a French play in the green forum or 8th grade Civics students discussing the the 11th Amendment to the Constitution with regard to the Patriot Act in the Blue Forum. Our campus, designed by renown architect Alden Dow, is a learning space that encourages a constant exchange of ideas.

Greenhills is a vibrant community where thoughtful habits help to create responsible citizens who share a common love of learning. On behalf of the faculty, I invite you to explore these web pages and then come and visit us.
