  4. Technology Recommendations and Student Laptop Policy

Greenhills School requires all students to bring a laptop to school every day. One-to-one devices allow us to effectively integrate technology within classes and extracurricular activities within the school building.
    > Review the Student Laptop Policy

    • 6th–7th Grade Students: All 6th and 7th grade students will be provided with a laptop for the duration of the school year, and families do not need to purchase or provide a laptop of their own.
    • 8th–12th Grade Students: All students in grades 8–12 must provide their own device and a Mac or Windows laptop is recommended.

    Middle School Device Policy Update
While it has been a longstanding policy for middle schoolers to not have devices during the school day, this policy now includes smartwatches.

  5. Acceptable Use Policy (Completed by Student)

Each year all students must review the Acceptable Use Policy contained within the Student and Family Handbook and sign the agreement form in GryphOn. The bookstore will open on July 21. All BNC K-12 orders $99 and up placed July 21 through 27 qualify for free shipping. An authentication code is now required to purchase course materials and to access digital materials. When prompted, please enter code: greenhills.

    Note About Digital Book Options
Many courses offer options for hard copy books, digital books, or a combination of both. Unless otherwise noted, only one option is required for each class. To help alleviate traffic congestion and manage limited parking, we are requesting 10th graders not to drive to campus. Parking privileges will be reserved for juniors and seniors only.

  18. Drop-Off, Pick-Up, and Traffic Patterns

Students may arrive as early as 7:00am and wait in the All-School Forum until the building is fully open at 7:45am, at which time they will be permitted to enter the building and prepare for their day in their assigned grade forums.

Students should have enough time to prepare and begin class, we recommend that students arrive at Greenhills at least 20 minutes prior to the start of school. Traffic is heaviest in the 15 minutes prior to the start of school, and arriving earlier will help avoid congestion.
