October 22–24, 7–9pm
You’re invited to attend an upcoming performance of the upper school play, Night of the Living Dead. The play follows the story of seven people trapped in an isolated farmhouse after fallout from a satellite probe sent to Venus returns to Earth carrying a mysterious radiation that transforms the dead into flesh-eating zombies.
Held hostage by the ravenous ghouls, the group begins to turn on each other as the dead encroach. This gripping, terror-filled production brings all the fright of the cult classic 1968 film to life. The entire production is presented in black and white, monotone greyscale. Night of the Living Dead is a blend of thrilling horror laced with touches of dark humor that envelops the audience in the action and unfolds into a shocking theatrical ending.
Night of the Living Dead is recommended for middle school audiences and older and is not recommended for lower school students. While the production does not feature jump scares, it is a horror play and includes zombies in full makeup who will move throughout the house during the performance. Audiences can also expect depictions of violence, choreographed fighting, zombie attacks, and theatrical blood.
