Affording Greenhills

Tuition for 2018-19 is $24,350 for middle school students and $24,900 for upper school students. Families can pay in up to 10 installments from June through March, if they wish. Payments are adjusted for students who receive financial aid.

Annual costs for books and supplies, billed separately, usually range from $700 in the 6-8th grades up to $1,000 for 9-12th grades.  All books are ordered online through (although books may be less expensive at Amazon or other vendors).

Full lunch service is included in tuition.

Financial Aid

FAST logo

Greenhills School wants to ensure that admitted students have access to the educational experience offered here without regard to an individual family’s ability to pay full tuition.  We try to achieve this objective through our financial aid program. At Greenhills, all financial aid is need-based.

Application for Financial Aid

FAST is the standard submission format for all applications. Click here to see FAST’s family user guide. FAST does not decide whether financial assistance will be given or how much to give; rather, FAST provides a need-based financial aid analysis service which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition.  All information from FAST is kept confidential.

  • The application process is self-guided. You may navigate in and out of the program allowing you to partially complete an application and go back to it at another time
  • Online e-mail and a 24/7 helpline is provided
  • The charge for the application is $41 paid by credit card at the end of the session. If you do not have a credit card or cannot budget the fee please contact our Admission Office
  • After completing the online application you will be required to either upload or mail FAST your most recent tax returns for both state and federal taxes with all schedules and W-2’s
  • Including the school’s name on the outside of the envelope will ensure faster processing of your application
  • The online submission deadline for all financial aid applications is in February
  • Your tax return must follow the submission, and is also due at FAST in February
  • Make your tax appointment early

PLEASE NOTE:  If your taxes are not complete by February, please provide your MOST RECENT tax returns.

Our goal is to have an award determination made by the time re-enrollment contracts are issued at the end of March.  While no financial aid procedure can be entirely equitable – there are simply too many individual factors and extenuating circumstances – this process continues to serve our community well.

Enrollment Information

Signed enrollment packages are due at Greenhills two weeks after receipt of the admission and financial aid decision, along with a non-refundable enrollment deposit. If the financial aid award is mailed after the admission decision, families have two weeks from receipt of the financial aid award to send in the enrollment package and deposit.
