Greenhills is built on a strong foundation of relationships.

While our school is currently at capacity for the 2021-2022 school year, we know the journey to the 2022-2023 school year begins very soon. As you learn about us, we'd also love to get to know a little bit about you. We encourage you to check out our virtual tour, explore our Get to Know Greenhills webinar offerings, and fill out an inquiry form to stay in the know about upcoming admission opportunities.

Our holistic admission process considers each prospective student's entire application to get a well-rounded picture of who each student is—both in and out of the classroom. We care about more than just your academics; we also care about your character.

To complete the first step in the admission process, click here. Your application will take 24 business hours to be activated.

All application materials must be received by one of our two deadlines.

The following elements are part of the application review process:

  1. The Greenhills Application (Personal Information Form)

  2. Student essay/short answer responses

  3. Parent statement

  4. Two teacher recommendations; preferably from a Math and English/Language Arts teacher

  5. Past two years of transcripts from school(s) previously or currently attended

  6. An interview with a member of the Enrollment Management team

  7. Optional: Any additional materials you would like to share that might help us get to know your child, which may include testing results, specialized learning plans, or an example of a favorite project.

Early Application: December 10Applicants who apply by our December 10 deadline receive a decision by the end of January. To guarantee you receive a decision at these times, all application materials must be submitted by the deadlines, including applications for the variable tuition program.

An early decision is often helpful for families with a sibling already attending Greenhills, have a potential family move, or may need to notify another school of their departure before that school’s contract deadline. Families applying for a variable tuition rate are also encouraged to submit their application by the early application deadline.

Regular Application Deadline: January 21Families who apply by the January 21 regular deadline will receive an admission decision in March.

Rolling Applications After January 21After our January deadline, applications are considered on a rolling basis, and decisions are based on a variety of factors, including space in our classes.

In place of an all-day visit to the Greenhills campus, we’re offering students and families a variety of opportunities to learn about what life as a Gryphon looks and feels like.

Information Sessions

Whether you’re just starting your journey with Greenhills or you’ve known about us for awhile, an information session is a great way to deepen your knowledge and understanding of what makes our school unique. You’ll hear from members of our leadership team, students, and faculty, and have a chance to join break out sessions led by our teachers that speak to your student(s)’ interests.

Fridays in the Forum

Among the most distinctive and unique features of the Greenhills campus are our forums. Each grade level has its own communal space where students gather before school, between classes, and after the day has ended for moments of connection, collaboration, and fun. We welcome you to join us in a virtual version of our beloved forum spaces. Designed specifically with prospective students in mind, these informal yet informative gatherings on Zoom will be led by current Greenhills students. Parents/caregivers, while this specific program is for kids, we hope that you will attend one or more of our other offerings. Please note the separate sessions for prospective middle school and upper school students.

Virtual Interviews

As part of our application process, we require all prospective students to complete an interview. This is a chance for us to get to know you a bit better, and for you to learn more about our school! We anticipate these virtual interviews will occupy approximately a 45 to 60-minute time block. After a brief introduction, the student will speak to a member of the Enrollment Management team for 20-30 minutes, after which parents/caregivers are welcome to join for discussion and questions. It is our goal to provide as much opportunity for conversation as a visit to our office would offer. To schedule your interview, please fill out our inquiry form. If you’ve already filled out an inquiry form and just need to schedule an interview, please click here or email Please note that interviews are available for 2021-2022 applicants only.
