How to Apply

Our holistic admission process considers each prospective student's entire application to get a well-rounded picture of who each student is—both in and out of the classroom. We care about more than just your academics; we also care about your character.

All application materials must be received by February 8, 2023.

 

  • October 1, 2022 Application for the 2023-2024 school year is available in SchoolAdmin.
  • October 1, 2022 Variable Tuition application opens in Clarity.
  • October 11, 2022 Applicant visit days being
  • February 8, 2023 – Completed application deadline for admission and variable tuition program. All application items must be received by midnight on February 8.
  • March 3, 2023 – Admissions decisions released via email
  • March 13, 2023 – Deadline to receive enrollment decision from accepted families
  • March 17, 2023 – Enrollment contracts released
  • March 22, 2023 – Deadline for enrollment contracts

The following items must be completed by February 8, 2023:

  • Student Interest and Activity Form
  • Visit Day
  • KIRA Interview/Assessment
  • School records/transcripts
  • Teacher recommendations (2)

Optional items that can be submitted:

  • Standardized test results (within the last two years)

International students who have not attended English-language schools for at least two years are required to submit TOEFL or TOEFL Junior Scores. Test dates and locations can be found on the TOEFL website.

Greenhills School TOEFL Test Code: 3364

The minimum standard score to be considered is 100 on the TOEFL.

Family Information Form – this form gathers general information about the applicant and their family. It is required to complete this form prior to the visit day.

Parent Statement – this form allows parents/guardians to provide further context around the decision to apply to Greenhills.

Student Interest and Activity Form – this form allows applicants to indicate the activities they wish to pursue if at Greenhills.

Visit Day – applicants can register for a visit day in SchoolAdmin.You must complete the Family Information Form in order to register for a visit day. In addition, we ask that applicants complete the Student Interest and Activity Form prior to their visit day.

KIRA Interview and Assessment – this virtual asynchronous experience allows for the applicant to answer a series of questions to help us learn more about the student. There are two question types: video or written. For video questions, applicant answers will be recorded. For written questions, applicants can type their answers in the space provided.

School Records/Transcripts Form – families should submit a record release form to their child’s current school allowing them to provide school transcripts/records for the last two years. 

Teacher Recommendation Forms – we ask that applicants provide two teacher recommendations. One recommendation should be from an English or History teacher and the other recommendation should be from a Math or Science teacher.

Optional Items

Standardized Test Results – applicants are invited to submit standardized test results taken within the last two years as part of their application materials. Acceptable tests ERB, SSAT, ISEE, PSAT, ACT, SAT, or any standardized test administered by a school entity. In some cases, our office may request submittal of test scores.

Personal Reference – applicants may submit one additional reference from a nonrelative adult who can speak to a student’s character. We will only consider one additional reference, any additional references will be discarded.
