Language students earn knowledge, awards

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages is very pleased to present awards to those Middle School and Upper School students who have competed in National French, Latin, and Spanish exams. These exams, though very different from each other, test our students’ abilities to write very difficult written exams and to respond to difficult listening comprehension sections, such as on the French and Spanish exams.

Click on the linked  National French, National Latin, and National Spanish text for a complete listing of results.

We would like to honor the tremendous accomplishments of those students who have won awards on these exams. In addition, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our students for their enthusiastic attitude in class every day, their willingness to work hard, and their openness to new ideas and cultures. It is truly a pleasure and joy for us to teach all of our students and we encourage them to continue in their study of foreign languages!

We’d also like to recognize our Chinese students and their teachers. It takes special students and special teachers to risk learning such a difficult language!
