While the press, neighbors and colleagues, or dark corners of the internet often paint a picture of college admission being fraught with anxiety and stress, Rick Clark believes there is a different path for students and families. This session and conversation will focus on providing a big-picture view of the higher education landscape, facilitating important and healthy conversations about paying for college and navigating the admission process, and discussing recent shifts in the landscape of admission.

Rick Clark is co-author of The Truth about College Admission: A Family Guide to Getting In and Staying Together, and he’s also assistant vice provost and executive director of undergraduate admission at Georgia Institute of Technology. Joining Clark for a post-presentation discussion will be former University of Michigan Director of Undergraduate Admissions Ted Spencer, and Clark will also field questions from attendees.

Books will be available for purchase at—and before—the event at Ann Arbor’s Booksweet bookshop, and Clark will be available to sign books after the event.

This event is open to the public, but advance registration is required.
