Our donors had a dream. If we built first class athletic facilities, Greenhills students would take it from there. Build you did. Succeed they have. Greenhills School has been rated by the Ann Arbor News as the “#1 Class C school for athletics in the state.”

Our tennis teams have 17 regional and 2 state trophies. Our soccer teams have 12 regional championships and a state championship. Our men’s golf team has a state championship. Talk about our outstanding cross country teams whose state championships go all the way back to the school’s earliest days and the 7 members of our men’s basketball squads who have joined the 1,000 point club, and we find college recruiters on our campus.

Greenhills boasts a fine athletic program, a great director and fabulous coaches. 74% of our upper school students and 82% of middle school students participated last year on at least one athletic team, and because we are so small — in numbers not our heart — every student plays, a lot. A lot of playing means tons of experience, true inclusion and strong team spirit. That’s who we are.

The Greenhills Athletic Endowment fuels the program. Last year funds from the endowment were used to resurface our tennis courts, some of the best in the state. This year, we will resurface the track and the west gym. Regularly, the fields need attention, be it reseeding, fertilization or irrigation. Great uniforms, new equipment, and fabulous coaches, too, all need support.

Which team do you identify with: Basketball, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Track, or Volleyball? Funding from our Athletic Endowment supports it all. Please join a team and support the program, today.
