Four GH Tennis Players Earn All-State Honors

Following a strong team performance at the 2012 Division 4 state championships which led to a third place finish, individual Greenhills players were honored by the Michigan High School Tennis Coaching Association (MHSTeCA) with selection to the All-State roster.

The number one doubles team of junior Rae Schueller and senior captain Sarah McIntosh capped a solid year with a terrific state tournament, upsetting the second seed in the semifinals and playing brilliantly in a tough loss to team champion Bloomfield Hills’ Academy of Sacred Heart. Their timely excellence won them All-State status.

Sophomore Colleen O’Brien also won All-State honors by sweeping through the number two singles bracket without dropping a game.

And, finally, super senior Kasey Gardiner was honored with both All-State status and selection as Miss Tennis for Division 4. She not only won the number one singles tournament for a second time, but also completed her high school career without losing a match.

Congratulations, players!
