Greenhills teacher captures national award

Greenhills science teacher Christine Gleason has won the Vernier Software & Technology Award from the National Science Teachers Association.

The award recognizes the innovative use of data collection technology in science classrooms at the elementary school, middle school, high school, and college levels. Included with the award was $3,000 in products for middle school science, courtesy of award sponsor Vernier, a leading provider of scientific measuring equipment used by teachers.

Gleason accepted the award recently at a banquet held during the NSTA National Conference on Science Education in Boston.
