“Note-able” Achievements Abound for Greenhills Musicians

"Note-able" Achievements Abound for Greenhills MusiciansFollowing successful performances at the recent State Level Solo and Ensemble Festival John Lazarsfeld ’13 and Emily Wu ’13 were selected to participate in the 2011 Michigan Youth Arts Festival, Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association’s highest honor granted to a student. The selection process is highly competitive and begins with the first set of MSBOA events in the fall. The objectives of the program are to discover unusually musically gifted high school students through rigorous competition beginning in the local school and progressing through successive levels to the state, to develop unusual musical talent through various performance opportunities, and finally to promote and stimulate additional student interest in the arts and acquainting the citizens of Michigan with the high level of attainment of its youth.
