Sixth-grader earns gold medal at U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships

Sixth-grader Emily Gitlin recently earned a gold medal with her team, the Dearborn Crystallettes, at the 2013 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.

Competing in the juvenile category, Gitlin and her team performed a routine that featured a selection of songs from the 1992 Disney hit musical Newsies. The four-day national competition was held in Plymouth, Mich. February 27-March 2.
