Thompson '14 attends National Security Forum in Washington, D.C.Last week Sabrina Thompson ’14 attended a five-day National Youth Leadership Forum on national security in Washington, D.C.

During the week she learned about a variety of national security topics from policy makers and senior personnel from the CIA, State Department and the Department of Defense. Topics included “Insider’s Perspective on Intelligence,” “Electronic Surveillance in the Digital Age,” “Leadership and National Security,” and “Perspectives on Latin America.”   She also took part in an interactive simulation of a national security crisis, and toured the Pentagon, Capital Hill and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

“It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had,” says Thompson (pictured on the far left), who added that the week only confirmed her desire to pursue a career with the CIA.

Thompson is the daughter of Maria and Levi Thompson of Superior Township and sister of Marissa Thompson ’12.
