WHAT’S ON YOUR DESK, BRUCE ZELLERS?

Learn more about Greenhills community members by looking at how they organize their workspaces—and lives, to some extent—in our “What’s On Your Desk” series. In this inaugural post, Greenhills teacher and alumni liaison Bruce Zellers gives you a peek into his squirrel-adorned desk in the School’s advancement office.

Squirrels, squirrels, squirrels.

I HATE the critters!! However, for years people have been giving them to me. I have dozens. Perversity of human nature ....

Pentagon photo.

Memento of my visit last Fall. Lt. Gen. Dagvin Anderson ('88) was my guide. A memorable experience for anyone, but especially for a military historian like myself.

Advisory 2021-22.

Such a great group! Photo from their trip to Chicago as seniors—and at Prom as juniors.

Moc-Tiffany lamp.

Love the colors and the design. Similar pieces in my study at home—and my music room too.

FBI coffee mug.

My friend Mike Hickok was an agent before retiring. My wife and I attended a ceremony at which he received an award. Bought the mug as a memento; broke it before I even left FBI HQ. Mike replaced it later.

Fountain pen.

For years my choice of writing devices. Love the feel. Love the lines. Love the colors one can write in!
