Golfer Henry Do Signs Letter of Intent for UNC

Golfer Henry Do Signs Letter of Intent for UNCSenior golf standout Henry Do today signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.

“To put this in perspective, less than one percent of all Division I athletes get a full-ride scholarship,” said athletic director Meg Seng, “and that is precisely what Henry has done.”

Do was voted MVP as a 9th grader and won the state title the following year as a sophomore. Since last year (his junior year) he has been playing with the American Junior Golf Association and is currently ranked as the 6th best player in the state for the Class of 2013.

“In addition to be a great golfer, we know Henry as an all-around nice guy who’s a good citizen and humble,” said Seng.  “That’s why we congratulate him on becoming a Tar Heel and wish him the very best.”

Do is the son of Kevin Do and Stephanie Nguyen of Ypsilanti.
