8th Grade Celebration highlights Class of 2021

With suitable pomp and pageantry, the Class of 2021 officially stepped out of middle school and into its future June 9. 

DSC_5655Students, faculty, staff, families, and friends gathered in a well-attended ceremony in the Campbell Center for the Performing Arts to acknowledge the milestone. Speakers included Head of Middle School Jonathan Schwartz, 8th Grade Team Leaders Stephen Jones and Kate Vane, and student speaker Arjun Purohit.

Also featured were musical performances by Caroline Berg, who performed Sam Smith’s “Latch;” Olivia Johnson and Martha Laramore-Josey, who performed “Stay,” by Rihanna; and Vance Joy’s “Riptide,” performed by Zoe Shulman and Meghan Woerpel.

Students assembled on stage before processing across and collecting a certificate and a Greenhills School pin.

Head of School Carl Pelofsky made closing remarks.
